It’s summer time and everyone is showing a little more skin to the sun. Ever wonder if that mole is something to be concerned about? Here are some tips to help you out.
If you see any of these irregularities in the spots on your body, it’s time to get them checked:
A: Asymmetry – Your spot doesn’t look the same on both sides.
B: Border – Your spot has uneven or blurry edges.
C: Color – Your spot darkens or lightens, or shows varying colors.
D: Diameter – Your spot is larger than ¼ inch in diameter.
E: Evolving – Your spot changes in size, shape or condition.
Have a friend or partner keep track of how it looks. If your mole shows any signs of the ABC’s, get it checked out by your dermatologist.
